DOING BUSINESS ACROSS ASIA: LEGAL CONVERGENCE IN AN ASIAN CENTURY
Dedicated to economic integration amongst Asian countries, this conference addressed the need for increased convergence of cross-border business laws, improved legal infrastructure and harmonisation of regulatory standards across Asia, was helded in Singapore on 21 & 22 January 2016.
Benoit Le Bars spoke during the third panel, on the first day. It adressed learning from global harmonization initiative and examine how legal convergence of business laws can be expedited in an Asian context.
This panel reviewed especially the principle of convergence on accessible matters, such as the recognition of international judgments and arbitral awards, which are investor protection tools.
