Benoit Le Bars will be one of the speakers at the annual conference organised by the International Bar Association (IBA) that will take place in Sydney from 8 to 13 October 2017.
Amongst a large number of renowned speakers, he will appear on two panels:
• First workshop, Monday morning 9 October 2017, titled “Dispute Resolution showcase: culture clashes – systemic pitfalls in international dispute resolution”, during which several experienced practitioners and academic experts will, through their different perspectives, bring awareness to the audience on the clash of cultures, and enable practitioners to respond appropriately to the challenges of transnational dispute settlement.
• Second workshop, Thursday afternoon 12 October 2017, “Africa – a continent with abundant resources and capability for growth: where lies the road map for the promotion of growth, development and poverty elimination”. Le Bars will highlight his legal practice and experience as counsel in judicial systems of the African continent, where he has been practising in more than 40 countries. During this workshop, the speakers will address the issue of necessary legislative resources for the peaceful development and growth in Africa.
