INFRINGEMENT OF A MASTER FRANCHISEE’S RIGHTS

In the context of a dispute between a European franchise network of a company operating in France and Italy and their U.S. franchiser, placing at risk several tens of millions of euros and potentially impacting 21,000 jobs or franchisees in Europe and Africa, we initiated a UNCITRAL international arbitration and litigation proceedings in Italy, which led to a transactional agreement and the signing of new master franchise agreement and reinstated commercial development rights in Africa and Eastern Europe.
