ENSURED THE OPT-OUT INDEMNITY OF AN INSTITUTIONAL SHAREHOLDER IN THE TELECOMS SECTOR
After several years of operating a mobile phone company in Africa, a major European player asked us to defend implementing an opt-out clause contained in a shareholder agreement that the State refused to comply with. Following an unsuccessful international mediation, an ICC arbitration proceeding allowed us to obtain an order against the State requiring it to pay over 235 million Euros pursuant to the ruling.
