Benoit Le Bars, founding partner of Lazareff Le Bars, will be a panelist at the upcoming 4th edition of GAR Live in Paris taking place at 52 avenue Hoche in Paris on November 25, from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.
The day-long seminar will be divided into four sessions led by international arbitration moderators and expert panels.
Benoit Le Bars will participate in the panel discussion, “Multi-party/multi-contract arbitrations – How complex are they in practice?” during the 3rd session from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
The expert panel will discuss the issues that arise when there are multiple layers of contracts and complex contractual arrangements, often typical of large industrial projects involving infrastructure, energy, intellectual property rights, and other considerations.
Benoit Le Bars will provide specific insight on complex agreements and disputes involving state or semi-public entities, which can cause additional challenges because of the political dimension of certain disputes. Drawing on concrete examples from their experience, the panelists will discuss the challenges involved in reaching efficient settlements both in commercial and in investment arbitration.
