Partnering with Queen Mary University of London’s Paris LLM program, Lazareff Le Bars (LLB) is launching the inaugural year of its LLB academic internship 2016/2017.
The program’s primary aim is to involve Queen Mary LLM students in Lazareff Le Bars’ academic and pro bono projects, give them access to the firm’s documentary resources and allow them to exchange with arbitration professionals, while also providing them financial support for their studies.
Two LLM students just joined the program at Lazareff Le Bars’ office in Paris on a part-time basis for a period of 6 months. The internship will give them the chance to immerse themselves in the world of international arbitration and contribute to finalizing the English version of Benoit Le Bars’ latest book, “Arbitrage commercial international, les grands arrêts du droit français”.
Regarding the initiative, Professor Maxi Scherer, the director of the Centre for Commercial Law Studies (CCLS) of Queen Mary University of London’s Paris campus, said, “We are delighted about this new project with Lazareff Le Bars which will give our students specializing in international arbitration the opportunity to immediately apply the in-depth knowledge they are acquiring through their LLM. The program also gives our students, who come from all over the world, the possibility to establish valuable contacts with the arbitration community in France”.
